All We Want for Christmas is a Goat!

Greetings Families:
Our school fundraising initiative is based on an idea from the charity Free the Children. All homeroom classes have pledged to purchase at least one goat for a needy family overseas.  Please click on the Free the Children website here: http://www.freethechildren.com/ and click on the Donate tab.
Often, some families at Bayview Hill enjoy sending a teacher gift to school around winter holiday time.  Instead of a teacher gift this season, my proposal is that students make an effort at home to do something to help their families or community in exchange for a small monetary donation from their parents.  I would love to accept this donation towards the goat on behalf of the needy family.  Bayview Hill has made a special exception so CASH and cheque will be accepted for this event.  We are hoping for more than one goat at $50 each.  
Students are aware of our Goat Deal.  Please support your child at home with this endeavour and discuss the sustainability of providing a goat as well as the benefits of giving to those that are in need.  'Tis the Season!

    Please advise if we should donate to their website directly, or write a cheque to school?

      Hi, a cheque to the school is best. That way we can sum up the donations and see if we can afford more than one goat. Thank you!
